This video chronicles my odyssey with replicating the iconic gold Daft Punk helmet worn by Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo. Over the process, I took hundreds of pictures, mostly because my crummy digital camera I shoot with has a bum autofocus. What you see are the collection of all of these images, and a little hint of video as well.

It is a copy of the hoverboard from the movie Back to the Future II. Integrated into the board and the plinth is an electromagnetic system which levitates the board. A laser system stabilises the object in the air.
In the making of this work, this artist was thinking about different ways of presenting sculpture. In fact it’s a reflexion on the multiple possibilities of how to give a sculpture full spatial autonomy.

Es gibt ja viele Firefox Erweiterungen die ganz nützlich sind, aber ich zier mich immer wenn’s ums installieren geht um den Fuchs nicht zu sehr zu überladen, ist nun mal kein Esel sondern Fuchs. Aber KwiClick ist die Sache wirklich wert. Dank the__Edge und dem “Google-Reader-Share-Trupp” entdeckte ich das Ding heute. Was KwiClick macht ist ganz simpel gesagt. Es öffnet beim markieren von Texten im Browser ein Kleeblatt-ähnliches Auswahlmenü, dass verschiedene Dienste anbietet und diese dann in einer Vorschau-Box im bestehenden Tab darstellt. Eine extreme Zeitersparnis, natürlich lässt sich alles einstellen und tunen. Dienste wie Delicious, Twitter, Bing, Google, Youtube und co. lassen sich auswählen und einfügen. Für mich persönlich das tollste Gimmick ist die Funktion Youtube Videos im seperaten “KwiClick-Fenster” zu öffnen bzw. anzupinnen und einfach weitersurfen zu können und nebenbei das Video anzuschauen ohne irgendwelches switchen zwischen den Tabs. Leider fehlt irgendwie die deutsche Sprachversion was echt schade ist, zumal relativ viele Sprachen jetzt schon abgedeckt werden. Am besten man schaut sich einfach mal das Video an und sieht wie KwiClick funktioniert. Daumen hoch.
